    Greetings GCLS Members and Friends of the GCLS.

    This page contains the Call for Nominations for the 2012 GCLS Goldie Awards.   Please refer to the Awards Guidelines prior to submitting nominations for a 2012 Goldie Award. All information provided in nominations will be viewed by the Awards Administrator and kept confidential.

    There are three steps to making a nomination:

    1)    Select, complete and submit online the appropriate 2012 Nomination Form no later than January 15, 2012.   Note: Incomplete, incorrect or late nominations will not be accepted.
    2)    Submit payment for total number of nominations online no later than January 17, 2012.  Note: The cost of each nomination is $25.00.
    3)    Submit THREE copies of the book being nominated which must be received by the Awards Administrator no later than January 17, 2012.

    NOTE:  There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to the dates listed above.  All three components of a nomination MUST be completed and received by the Awards Administrator no later than the dates listed above.

    Directions:

    Step One:   Click here to access the 2012 online nomination forms.
    Step Two: Click here to make your payment online, once you have completed all nominations.
    Step Three: Mail three (3) copies of each book nominated to the Awards Administrator at the following address:

    NOTE: For those nominating an eBook – please submit three (3) professionally bound hard copies of the nomination, per the Awards Guidelines. There will be no exceptions.

The Mission of the Golden Crown Literary Society

The Golden Crown Literary Society (GCLS) is a literary and educational organization for the enjoyment, discussion, and enhancement of lesbian literature. Our goals are to support and strengthen quality lesbian literature by providing places for readers and writers to interact, to encourage and assist new writers and established authors, and to recognize and promote lesbian work.The Golden Crown Literary Society (GCLS) is a growing organization that brings people together who are interested in the enjoyment, discussion, and enhancement of lesbian literature.

An all-volunteer effort relying on the expertise of its members, the GCLS works to develop programs that provide ways for readers and writers to interact, to encourage and assist new writers and established authors, and to recognize and promote lesbian literary work. The GCLS is open to anyone interested in these goals.

 

The GCLS is continually searching for those interested in helping the GCLS grow and prosper. If you would like to serve on an advisory board, please email the director of the department you would like to work with, or contact one of the other advisory board members for more information.

The Golden Crown Literary Society is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is the promotion of, and education related to, lesbian fiction.
