Justine Saracen has written eleven historical thrillers that span the ages, from Ancient Egypt in The 100th Generation, the Italian Renaissance in the Sistine Heresy, the opera in Mephisto Aria, religion in Sarah, Son of God and Beloved Gomorrah, and most recently mountain gorillas in Dian’s Ghost which won a Goldie for Historical Fiction in 2017.

She’s big on World War II, starting with Tyger, Tyger, Burning Bright, that traces the lives of spies and homosexuals in Nazi Germany, Waiting for the Violins, about the French and Belgian resistance, The Witch of Stalingrad, on female Soviet fighter pilots, and The Sniper’s Kiss, about female Soviet snipers, with hints of Dostoyevsky in the background.

While her novels have won numerous Golden Crown and Rainbow Awards through the years, in 2016, she received the high profile Alice B Readers Medal for her entire body of work.

Justine, who speaks German and French, lives in Brussels, from whence she travels widely for research and scuba diving.
