GCLS at Women's Week in Provincetown

 

GCLS is proud to announce our fourth year at

Women's Week in Provincetown!

 

Special Announcement! 

We are pleased to announce that we will have Fay Jacobs onstage on Wednesday night, October 12th, at 7:30pm. Fay will be entertaining us all with her "Aging Gracelessly: 50 Shades of Fay," a reading in two short acts. If you haven't seen it - come and join us for our annual Meet 'n Greet at the Sage Inn from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, followed by Fay at 7:30pm.

 

Tickets for Fay's performance are $15 - you can purchase them in advance and show ID at the door, or you can purchase tickets at the door.

Schedule: The GCLS 2016 Provincetown Event Schedule will be:

 

Wednesday, October 12th: 

  • 5:00pm - 7:00pm:  GCLS Meet 'n Greet Reception
  • 7:30pm - 9:00pm:  "Aging Gracelessly: 50 Shades of Fay", with the ever funny Fay Jacobs

Thursday, October 13th:

  • 9:00am - 10:30am: Author Readings (9:00am - 10:15am) & Signing (10:15am - 10:30am) - 8 Authors
  • 10:15am - 11:45pm: Signing (10:15am - 10:30am) & Author Chat (10:30am - 11:45am) - 6 Authors
  • 12:00pm -  1:30pm: Author Readings (12:00pm - 1:15pm) & Signing (1:15pm - 1:30pm) - 8 Authors
  • 1:15pm - 2:45pm: Signing (1:15pm - 1:30pm) & Author Chat (1:30pm - 2:45pm) - 6 Authors
  • 2:45pm - 4:00pm: Author Readings (2:45pm - 4:00pm) - 8 Authors
  • 4:00pm - 4:30pm: Author Autographs - open to authors from any of the Reading/Chat sessions

 Also all participating authors are welcome to return to the Sage Inn at 4:00pm for the author signing after the last reading. 

Author readings will consist of an 8 minute of self-intro, book intro, and reading. There will be 1 minute between authors to step away and the next author to get situated and ready to start.  Total author minutes: 64 minutes. That leaves 11 minutes for session introduction, transitions between authors, and to move to the tables to sell and sign books.

AUTHORS: Instructions

You must be a member of the GCLS to do an author reading or chat.  All members of the public are welcome to attend the readings.

 

OPTIONS:

An author may sign up for any of the following:

1) One Reading only

2) One Reading and one Chat

3) One Chat only

All Readings and/or Chats include an author signing session before or after.  Also any GCLS Member authors are welcome to join in at author signing sessions.

There are 24 author reading slots and 12 author chat slots this year.  If there is a high demand for Author Chats, we may increase the number of authors in these chats.  
 
ALL OPEN (reading and chat) SLOTS ARE ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS.  Once the schedule is full, we will accept additional names to be on a reserve list.  To be a reserve author, you must be at P'Town, and be available by phone to come and fill in at the last minute.

 

If you would like your name listed as a participating author, in our advertisement, we will need you to sign up NO LATER THAN 3:00pm EASTERN on AUGUST 14TH.  We will keep the registration page open until October 1st, or until it is full - whichever comes first.
