I am an avid reader of lesfic and this will be our first GCLS conference. Looking forward to meeting the authors and friends that I have found online.

 

This will be my fifth conference. I'm a former foreign language teacher, now happily ensconced in a writing career.

 

Been a member of the GCLS from the beginning but this will only be my 4th conference.  Have made some really great friends and look forward to this event every year so that I can catch up with old friends and hopefully make a pile of new ones.  The conference and the people who attend truely feel like family to me.

I was just signed to a three book contract through Midnight Ink, with the first book, Bingo! It's Murder, coming out mid to late 2011. So I guess I'm really, truly, honestly an author! Oh my God. I love to read, too...but i guess I better get to writing instead!
 

Maria V. Ciletti is a nurse currently working as a medical administrator.  She writes lesbian romance. Her new novel, Collide, will be published in June 2010 by Intaglio Publications.  Her second novel, Clinical Distance, was also published by Intaglio in 2009.  Her first novel, The Choice, was originally published by Haworth Press in 2007.  It will be available in ebook by Intaglio Publications in June 2010. She lives in Niles, Ohio with her partner Rose

I've got my first novel coming out this year! Souls' Rescue took years to put together and I can't wait to see it in print! I've also got another anthology with my best friend Verda Foster called Women In Uniform, Medics, and Cops and Soldiers, Oh My!  Both are being published by Regal Crest Enterprises. I'm so jazzed about this year's conference!

The heading should be "author-in-training", rather than "author" - however in the spirit of living one's dream...  I call myself 'author' in the hopes that I will achieve that this year.  My background is very broad and far reaching, from space technology and the space station to banking, to IT and educational technology at UC Davis.  I am a Canadian that came to the US to visit my now partner, 15 years ago and never left... 

 

I am the author and publisher of the Brenda Strange Supernatural Mystery Series, THE BURNING OF HER SIN, TANGLED AND DARK, THE MISSING PAGE, and the latest, XIMORA. I've also written the vampire romantic chiller, SO DEAD, MY LOVE. Aside from having my own publishing imprint, Black Car Publishing, I am also an artist and do book covers.

 

 

 

I'm fairly new to the writing profession. I started writing in 2005, as a sort of "mid-life crisis". My kids were now adults and needed no more nurturing. I come from Sydney Australia and this will be my first professional outing as a writer.
 

I am just stepping in the world of writing as an art . I'm still searching for my voice. I am highly interested in engaging with other writers and any advice I can seek .

aka Mercedes, also an 'author in training'. I write poems and short stories, and I have something banging around in my head that may be longer...if I ever sit down and get started. I love to read (even more than I love to nap!). I have been a GCLS member since 2005 and have attended the conventions beginning in 2006. I happily found Lesbian Literature in 2003 by way of the TV Show Xena Warrior Princess.  I found that many titles, especially those published before 2003, did not have Amazon reviews so I started writing what I liked about a book I read and posting it.
