The GCLS Writing Academy is a nine-month program involving online classes, discussions, forums, and collaboration with other students.

The Application Period for the Writing Program is open until full, or through September first, whichever comes first. If the program is full, you can still apply and ask to be put on the waiting list.

The fees for this program will be $995 for a one-time payment. If you wish to utilize the payment plan, the full cost is $1,000. Payment details will be discussed upon acceptance to the Writing Academy.

Fees/refunds *Fees (or first payment) due before September 1. After the first class, students wishing to withdraw may receive a refund minus 15 percent fee. After the third class, students may request postponing to the following year with no penalty on their payment. After the fourth class, no refund will be issued for drop outs. We often have a long waiting list for this program, and we expect that by the third class, you will have a good idea of how you are able to fit the workload into your life. Writing Sample
As part of the application process, you will need to provide a writing sample for the selection committee to review. Please submit 10 pages of your best writing. You will need to adhere to the following guidelines: Double-spaced 1-inch margins Times New Roman or Courier font 12 point font Name and email address in upper right header of each page
